With the article of yesterday, I’ve written 200 times on single day that resulted in a public blog post.

What did positive things did I notice for me by keeping this habit up?

Well, I can write faster and lay down stories more easily on paper. This for example has a positive influence on my written communication skills. Whenever somebody asks me to write something up, I can do it way more easily than I ever did.

The other thing is that I can see/read through my own bullshit more often. Sometimes I write things down and basically see that the story or thought isn’t coherent enough. Or sometimes even things I don’t truly believe. Due to this, I feel like I’m more honest with myself than usual.

For example, I noticed that I’m writing more in a ‘spoken language’ as if I’m having a conversation and using profanity rather than ‘formal’ language.

The last thing I noticed is that I’m more free-flowing. If I don’t feel like writing I won’t do it cause the quality is usually less. My first 140 articles were consecutive thus I wrote for 140 days straight every day. The last 60 weren’t that. Now, my streaks are around 5-6 and I skip for a day or two each week. At least, then the overall quality is higher which makes my article better.

Then something more obvious is that my body of work is increasing. I’m creating more and more whether a few or a lot of people read it. Don’t really care cause it is for myself. I’m 200 daily articles ahead than the person with 0. I have a body of work and proof of what I think about the topics I write. I put myself in public and accountable for my beliefs.
