Growrilla Widgets Support | Day #89

Growrilla is going to support widgets on launch day. It will be available starting with a small and medium widget. A large widget will be coming later next year.

The widgets are intended to give the user a quick glance immediately at how many counts they’ve done today.

The small widget gives the user the total amount of counts they’ve done today. This takes into account all events that you are counting.

The medium widget displays three random count events with their today count. This may stimulate the user to do the given event and count them when finished.

The development of this was overall pretty straight forward. SwiftUI is immediately recommended and it works similarly to other extensions. For example, support for App Groups is the same.

I’m aiming to release Growrilla on 15th December.
