Assess, sprint, reflect, rest | Day #126
Every day there should be a progression in your life.
Even resting contributes to that cause you need to assess, sprint, reflect, and rest.
Whatever you do, assess, sprint, rest, and then reflect.
When you face a problem, you have to assess it first. What is the problem? What are the (small) steps towards improving it? These are the questions you should ask.
When you have a sense of the problem, then you execute on it (the sprint). You may write, record, broadcast, code, speak, email, move, or whatever execution it needs to work towards improving the problem.
Then a few steps are in. You may realize that the execution was different than originally planned. Or that it indeed was what you expected. Still, take time to reflect. What could be improved? Were the steps the correct ones? Do the plants need adjustments? Reflect, reality works differently and all things can be improved. A one percent improvement could be the dealbreaker from a first-place or second-place finish.
Then the last step is to rest. You can’t work 24/7. Humans are not robots or computers. Take your break. Heal yourself, let your cells regenerate. Enjoy other aspects of your natural life. There is almost no-one in the world that can sustain 100% creativity and productivity without resting. Even people like Elon Musk need to eat, sleep, and rest.
Whether you implement the system daily, weekly, or yearly. This makes will progress in your life consistently.
Assess, sprint, reflect, and rest.
