Try your hardest or be average | Day #94
For a man to thrive they need a goal.
Particularly a vision in which they stand behind it.
In history, these were the men who believed in an ideal. They sticked with it until they either achieved it or died before.
These ideals came in many forms.
To be free. To conquerer a continent. To explore. To feed.
In order to achieve those ideals, they fought wars. They harvested and build farms for their community. They invaded the land. They learned to write and read. They even died for it.
Nowadays, I feel like most men are being average with their ideals.
They feel uncomfortable to think big, detailed, or ahead. I’m not talking about a strict plan they need to follow for the rest of their lives.
I’m talking about a vision for their lives.
Could be becoming a successful businessman. Visit every country in the world. Becoming a millionaire. Becoming a top 1% profession in a certain profession. Whatever it is, have a vision and try your hardest to achieve it.
It could be anything, just think big.
Don’t be on the brink of a deathbed and imagine what you could have been.
Try to be it and you know for sure that you’ve tried your damn hardest.
Remember that nothing always goes according to plan, but progress can only be made if you work for it. To fight for it, you start with an ideal that you want to be.
